JN - Unfortunately the deal means we have to change both home and away kits every season. To do that we get something called Gift of Kit to make sure our first team, youth team and staff are fully kitted out.
JN - We have done a new deal with a kit supplier for the upcoming season. When you get into the volumes that we need then you do see a decrease in quality. It isn't anything to do with cost, the cost is the same whoever we go with because all of the kits are produced in the Far East.
Q - Where are we at with next season's kit? Do you factor in quality or go for the cheapest option? We always see a price decrease in Jan - could we not sell them at a cheaper price to start with?
GK - We do have Adam who comes in when we have a free week and does fitness sessions. Interestingly that was one of the sessions that Conor Townsned broke his foot in.
GK - I wouldn't agree that we don't look fit. I have a physical approach to training and we do double sessions. We don't have a sports science department which is something we have looked at. We have done fitness testing recently and the numbers were off the charts.
Q - Faz Page used to do the fitness, I think other teams look fitter than us.
GK - It's currently myself, Davie, Caigy and Alan Moore. We had scouts who were here with Greg who have since moved on and I didn't want to get a new scout who I didnt trust. We have since signed up to WyScout which is an online platform that allows me to look at any English game and look at certain players. I do need to look at players myself, but WyScout is a very useful tool.
Q - What is your scouting network?
GK - We have a bounce game next week against a team which will include players that I would ike to have a look at. Not only will that give us some game time but it gives me a chance to do some scouting.
GK - We have good relationships with a number of clubs who we do play games with. I think we will look at having a feeder club such as Annan who we could send our young lads to for half season loans.
GK - We were in a reserve league which was pointless because we were beating teams by 5 or 6 goals. Greg made a decision which I think was right to take us out of that.
GK - I've been critical of some players who don't make the step from youth team to first team. The young lads are classed as first team players but they still need to develop.
Q - What are your thoughts on reserve team football for next season?
GK - I then asked him about Jordan Pickford and Gus thought he'd have to let him go for the full 28 days but he can have a recall clause. So we've done that for the initial 28 days but we will revisit it because I have been really impressed with Jordan.
GK - I'll tell you a story ... We obviously played Sunderland and I spoke to Gus. He told me if we needed anything he would help us out. I asked him about Duncan Watmore - he told me if he went out on loan it would be to us. I then got his number which I was really pleased about. I then got a phone call and he told me he wasn't coming to us.
Q - Kav, how long is Pickford here?
JN - I don't think the FA could do anything because they want to get as many games on as possible.
JN - It's a valid point. The referee has to be the one to make the decision. Crawley were desperate to get the game on because they will struggle to pay their wages this month because they haven't had a game.
Q - I'm sure the FA or the other committees you're involved with could do something?
JN - we asked Crawley on Monday how the pitch was. We almost forced them into a pitch inspection on Thursday but the local referee couldn't say either way. We traveled on Friday and they still said they were confident.
Q - What is your opinion on late call offs such as the situation at Crawley?
JN - we stopped cash sales because of the security aspect. To have cash at the turnstiles is dangerous in regards to security.
JN - We take postcodes so we know who is coming to put us in a better position to communicate with our fans.
Q - why don't we have cash turnstiles
JN - they close at 5pm because somebody has to be in the building to administer that.
JN - We will look into the timings of the online ticket sales.
Q - The tickets - the online ticket sales shut at 5pm the days before the game, could that be any later? Why do we take postcodes?
That's it for the first part of the forum.
NS - we're waiting for the correct signs etc. to arrive. We have had approval from the club for that.
Q - why haven't you been in the car park on match days?
NS - We have in the region of 400 members.
NS - the last time we donated money was a month ago when we joined the Business Club. We also sponsor Lee Miller this season.
NS - The shares that we own are different to any owned by the directors. Our shares belong to the fans.
Q - Norman - the trust made a statement to try and drum up memberships. What is your membership number? When did you last donate funds to the club? What do you say to fans that say you are a hindrance to the club?
JN - We have six loans out of the current squad - we have taken some on short contracts because of age or other factors.
JN - It is worth saying that Greg didn't deliberately kill the budget at the start of the season. We had a lot of injuries which he needed to cover.
GK - We have a vision for the club through the EPPP - that is to have 1-9 players from the academy in our first team.
GK - I didn't have any money to spend when I got the job. We need attendances up if we want to spend big money on players. We currently have players here on two year deals who are committed to this football club. Our objective is to stay in the league. Getting long term players is an area we do need to look at.
Q - In regards to loan signings, the young fans don't have a hero because we have so many loan players.
GK - I would take every bit of help available. I'm a good friend of Lummy and if I felt he could help us as a club I'd be open to that.
Q - Chris Lumsdon is a real fans favourite, why not employ him?
GK - In Prince's situation I decided I had to let him go. He had been late a number of times which was affecting the morale of the group. I made the decision that his ability didn't outweigh that.
GK - It isn't as clear cut as it seems. We have Conor Townsend who we are still paying even though we have no use for the player. A few clubs, Man Utd with Reece James, do cancel the contract if the player gets injured. As much as you are doing the club or the player a favour it can come back to bite you a little bit.
JN - The parent club always pays the wages but we do make a contribution. Depending on how Kav does the deal, we can pay anything from 100% of the wages to a very small fee.
